I'd only been to Mondo Cane a handful of times during the eighties, but I still remember what it smelled like.  I recall the smell of pipe and tobacco smoke wafting around,  liquor and a general staleness.  I remember a flowery smell too, which probably had more to do with perfume & not actual flowers.  It was a more relaxed atmosphere than what I was used to, but still pleasant.  Fragrance notes include Cuban tobacco, Vetiver, Beer, Amber Rum, Pipe Smoke and Orchid.
